So... what does Buddy do?

Buddy listens, reflects, and offers personalised coaching. Delivered through an engaging app with interactive quests and rewards, it makes mental health support more accessible, diverse, and enjoyable.

Nurture a friend

Meet your new furry (or scaly) sidekick on your mental health journey. Pick an animal friend to join you as you navigate therapy sessions and complete quests. Whether it's a moustached pig or a dapper penguin, you'll nurture and care for your buddy, watching them grow as you do. Because let’s be honest—everything’s better with an animal by your side!

Chat to Buddy

Whether it's 2am or a mid-afternoon slump, Buddy is there to listen to anything on your mind - without judgement, without stigma. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles, Buddy guides you through personalised support sessions, helping you tackle challenges and improve your mental well-being.

Quests & Rewards

Who knew improving your mental health could feel like a game? With Buddy, every small step forward is a victory. Complete quests—whether it’s mastering a mindfulness session or tackling a challenge designed to boost your mood—and earn rewards as you level up your well-being. It’s not just therapy, it’s a mental health adventure

See your progress

Like a digital diary, Buddy helps you log your thoughts, victories, and lessons learned along the way. Reflect on how far you’ve come, track your growth over time, and celebrate every skill you’ve mastered. It’s your personal progress report—minus the boring bits!

The barriers we face

Let's talk about the tough truths we can't ignore.

01

48 Million

people in the UK can't afford therapy yet, 1 in 4 adults experience mental health issues

02

LGBTQIA+ and BAME communities

are at higher risk of mental health issues but underrepresentation in mental health services, stigma and fear of discrimination means these groups are underserved

03

34% of young people have mental health issues

making them the age group with the highest prevalence but, they're also the least likely to get help

04

Men are 50% less likely to get help

due to feelings of embarrassment and fear of negative stigma

Our mission

Statistics reveal significant mental health disparities among underserved communities, highlighting a broader issue rather than an isolated problem. While we do not claim to solve these deep-rooted challenges entirely, our goal is to offer a viable alternative for those who face barriers to traditional therapy, such as affordability, stigma, or lack of access. With Buddy, our aim is to provide a discreet, anonymous, and stigma-free space for talking therapy, ensuring that individuals who may not otherwise seek help can access support in a safe and judgment-free environment.
